_And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour( Matthew 8:5-8 ,13).
*Message:* The Centurion Man was a man of great status in the society, yet he acknowledged God’s power. That was what drew him to Jesus when he needed his servant to be healed. Beyond acknowledging the power of God he was a humble man. He was a man of a broken heart. He felt he was not worthy to receive Jesus into his house despite his societal status because of his spiritual state. Oh! this man was also a man of great faith, he believe that Jesus can do all things even healing his servant with just a word. Think of these:
- God seeks for sincere seekers, He desires in our humility and not our sense of self righteousness.
- The place of faith is very important in our journey with God, great faith attracts great exploits.
- Whatever areas we have been expecting God’s great manifestation, if we have faith in Him and just commit them to Him today we will experience a miracle. God bless you.
